In general, most of our The EyeDoctors Optometrists offices accept United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, VSP and Eyemed. However, not all locations or all doctors accept the same insurances. If you have a specific question about which insurance your doctor accepts or you don’t see your insurance on the list, please call your The EyeDoctors Optometrists office for more information. 

There are three main ways to schedule an appointment at The EyeDoctors Optometrists: Online, by phone, and through the patient portal. 

Scheduling an eye care appointment online at The EyeDoctors Optometrists is as simple as clicking on the “Schedule Your Eye Exam” button at the top of every page. You’ll be taken to a locations page where you’ll be prompted to enter your state, city and zip code to find the nearest The EyeDoctors Optometrists. Click on your preferred office and fill out the form. Follow the on-page instructions until you get to the appointment confirmation page.

Appointments can also be scheduled over the phone. View our locations for the phone number of your nearest The EyeDoctors Optometrists location. 

If you’re a returning patient, you can visit the patient portal to select your office and schedule an appointment directly.

Yes! We understand things come up from time to time. If you know you will be unable to make your scheduled appointment, we ask that you notify us within 24 hours of your appointment time. If a same-day reschedule is required, we will work with you to find the next available appointment to fit your schedule. Please call your preferred The EyeDoctors Optometrists office to do so.

If a patient is more than 15 minutes late for their scheduled appointment, they may be asked to reschedule. As a general rule, we ask that all new patients arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment, and all returning patients arrive 10 minutes prior. This ensures each patient has enough time to complete paperwork and update insurance or payment information.

The EyeDoctors Optometrists does offer walk-in appointments at select locations. We invite you to stop by our offices any time, and if we have availability, we’d be delighted to see you. To check availability prior to visiting our office, please call your location directly. Even if no appointments are currently available, we may be able to put you on a wait list to notify you of availability should another patient cancel their appointment.

The EyeDoctors Optometrists is dedicated to helping you find the right pair of glasses that fits your lifestyle perfectly. Each of our locations has a state-of-the-art optical lab to ensure you always get lenses that best meet your needs. That being said, we know things don’t always work out according to plan. If you aren’t happy with your eyeglasses, please come back into the office. Our dedicated staff will get you refitted into frames that are more your style and feel.

The EyeDoctors Optometrists does not offer same day eyeglasses. All of our locations make use of a state-of-the-art optical lab to ensure each lens is crafted specifically to best meet your vision correction needs. While this produces better results, it takes more time to make. Depending on the strength of your prescription and any selected optical add-ons (anti-glare, transition lenses, etc.), your glasses can take up to 10 business days to craft. For better vision, it’s more than worth the wait!
